What Is Technohumanism

Technohumanism is the union of Thought and Technology, arising from the application of the ideas and theses of the Human Disciplines to the Disruptive Emerging Technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which will possibly develop strongly in this decade of 2020.

This movement, in turn, will give rise to a new religion: Dataism, which will gradually replace the beliefs of the past, owing to the massive use of New Emerging Technologies. This new technohumanist movement must be carefully formulated in an attempt to place the Human Being at the epicentre, and to make Technology serve their values and not the other way around.

We are entering the era of the Second Renaissance, for which a new type of profile must be created, the Technohumanist, who recovers Mética (Metics), alongside Logic and Mysticism, and focuses the strengths of Technology through Mental Positivism and TechnoOptimism.

The Humanist Technologist, or Technohumanist, is someone who works to always put technology at the service of the human being. An update of the traditional humanist, able to adapt to any environment, with knowledge of programming, of the digital economy and of the new information and communication society.

With deep knowledge of sociology, humanism, history, anthropology, art, etc., they have a global vision, know the different cultures, know how to move across borders, and understand the evolution of human behaviour and the way human beings relate to their environment.

It is in this context that the Technohumanist Movement is born, joining Thought, Philosophy and Ethics with Science and Technology. It applies the ideas and theses of the Human Disciplines to the Disruptive Emerging Technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, with a TechnoAnthropoCentrist approach, in which Technology always remains at the service of the Human Being.

Its three fundamental principles are:

* HUMANISM as a vital attitude that conceives human values in an integrated way, in the context of a Second Renaissance, in which the anthropocentric vision puts technology at the service of the human being.

* EDUCATION, understood as a basic need for achieving adaptation to, and knowledge of, the new digital society, fostering continuous self-learning, creativity and innovation.

* SOLIDARITY: in order to face the existential challenges that confront us both together and individually, we must unite as a single species and overcome all our conflicts through the awareness that it is the only possible path.
